Moving Here

My family moved to Lynchburg when I was 10 years old. My dad got a job at a local software engineering company, we loaded up the family station wagon (literally) and the next thing I knew I was enrolled at Timberlake Christian School and living in Forest, Virginia! It took some adjustment, as any move does, but I can honestly say moving to Lynchburg was one of the best things that ever happened to me, and I am so thankful to God that He brought me here!

So Why Do I Love Lynchburg?

There are so many ways to answer that question! Let me list off a few reasons why I love calling Lynchburg home:

I Love the Blue Ridge Mountains!

I love to look at them, hike in them, and see them change colors in the fall and spring. One of my favorite hikes in the Blue Ridge is Sharp Top, with it’s 360 degree panoramic view at the top. If you’ve never tried it, it’s a tough hike, but in my opinion, well worth it!

I Love the Low Cost of Housing!

My wife and I started our life together in Northern Virginia. We wanted to buy a house, but the prices were just too much for us! When we moved back to Lynchburg, we bought a great home with a payment that seemed too good to be true! Coming in well below the national average, Lynchburg is both beautiful and affordable!

I Love the Low Crime Rate!

According to www.bestplaces.net, Lynchburg’s crime rate is well below the national average. Having lived here most of my life, there are very few times I’ve gelt unsafe. As I am raising my family here, feeling secure and safe is a high priority to me!

I Love all the Colleges!

Lynchburg has three universities and a community college, with a fourth college only a short distance away! The result is the constant breath of new life into our community as young people come for school and often stay to work and raise their families in the area. I have many friends who have that exact story, and we are better as a community for it!

Why I Love Lynchburg

I could go on and on! I love living in Lynchburg and being a part of the community here.
